Emergency services are attending the scene of a collision at Coolboy outside Letterkenny this Friday morning.
The two-vehicle collision between a tractor and van occurred at Blue Banks on the N56 Letterkenny/Kilmacrennan road after 7.30am.
Gardai are at the scene diverting traffic and motorists are urged to follow the direction of authorities.
Elsewhere, the N56 will be closed between Dunfanaghy and Falcarragh from 10am to 1pm today (9th) for the removal of an overturned vehicle. Local diversions will be in place, but HGVs will be diverted in Termon and Falcarragh to travel via the Back of Errigal (R251).
Icy conditions are reported throughout Donegal and motorists are urged to take extreme care. Council gritters were deployed on major routes from 6am, but motorists should still slow down take care.
Met Eireann’s status yellow snow-ice warning remains in place until 12noon today.
