New venue now likely for Donegal’s Dr McKenna Cup final

Saturday’s Dr McKenna Cup final between Donegal and Tyrone seems likely to be moved out of Celtic Park.

The Derry venue was set to host the game, but as a result of some necessary rescheduling in the Allianz League, following postponements yesterday, an alternative venue is now expected to be announced.

Derry’s Division 3 clash against Offaly was called off late in the day yesterday due to snow.

That game will now take place this Sunday at Celtic Park.

Derry officials are now believed to be reluctant to allow the Lone Moor Road ground to stage the Donegal-Tyrone final the previous evening.
