A night of heavy rain has led to some clearance of snow in Donegal this morning (Tuesday), while drivers are reminded to continue to take extreme care on the roads.
Wet conditions and wintry showers have resulted in slushy roads which affect stopping distances. Freezing overnight temperatures in areas has caused frost and ice on untreated surfaces.
A Status Yellow Snow-Ice warning remains in place until 10am this morning.
Today will be another cold day with a further risk of snow showers and some snow accumulation on higher ground.
More freezing weather is on the way for tonight, combined with rain and sleet.
