LIT finished with nine men, but a brace of first half goals saw them advance.
Ross Mann drilled them in front in the 40th minute and, on the stroke of half-time, Alan Sheehan doubled the advantage.
Dean Larkin pulled a goal back for LyIT six minutes into the second period, but LIT held out.
