Donegal Death Notices – Rest in Peace

Donegal death notices for today, Friday, February 16th.

 

Sr. Enda CANNING
The death has occurred at Hillcrest House, Long Lane, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal of Sr. Enda Canning, Convent of Mercy, Buncrana and formerly of Glenvar. Deeply regretted by the Sisters of Mercy, Northern Province, brother John (London), sisters Sheila McDaid (Limerick), Sophia Wigham (Derry), Nora Dunne (Letterkenny), Kathleen Desmond (Derry) and Vera McElhinney (Rathmullan), nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Sr. Enda’s remains will repose at Hillcrest House, Long Lane Letterkenny today Friday 16th and Saturday 17th Feb. from 12noon to 8pm each day with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Sunday (18th) at 6pm going to St. Mary’s Oratory Buncrana to repose Sunday and Monday nights. Requiem Mass on Tuesday (20th) at 12noon with burial afterwards in Cockhill Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Hillcrest House, Residents Comfort Fund c/o Paschal Blake, Funeral Director, Stoney Arch, New Line Road, Letterkenny.

 

Packie COLL
The death has occurred at Ramelton Community Hospital of Packie Coll, Doaghbeg, Fanad.

Reposing at his late residence. Removal on Saturday, February 17th, at 11.30am for Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Ballinacrick at 12 noon followed by burial in Fanavolty Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Ramelton Respite Fund & Fanad Day Centre.

 

Seamus CRUMLISH
The peaceful death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Seamus Crumlish, 58, Lower Main Street, Letterkenny. Deeply regretted by his loving sister Nell, sister-in-law Maire (Carndonagh), nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, relatives and friends.

Seamus’s remains are reposing at his late residence. Funeral from there on Saturday 17th Feb. going to St. Eunan’s Cathedral for 3pm Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the family plot in Conwal Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the Friends of Letterrkenny University Hospital c/o Paschal Blake, Funeral Director, Stoney Arch, New Line Road, Letterkenny. Family time please from 10pm to 11am.

 

Joe KELLY
The death has taken place at his home of Joe Kelly, Ballyness, Falcarragh. Predeceased by his parents Caitlín & John Kelly and his sister Áine. Deeply regretted by his wife Kay and their three loving daughters Tríona, Sorcha, and Áine. Loving brother to his 7 sisters and 2 brothers.

Joe’s remains will repose at his home in Creg an Easa, Ballyness, Falcarragh. Rosary tonight at 9pm with the house private from 11pm until 10am and on the morning of the funeral. Removal from his home on Saturday, 17th February, going to St. Finian’s Church, Falcarragh for 1pm Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

 

Nancy (Cassie) MCBRIDE
The death has occurred of Nancy (Cassie) McBride, White Cross Road, Ranafast, Donegal.

Removal today, Friday, at 10.30am for Requiem Mass at 11am at the Star of the Sea Church, Annagry. Burial afterwards in Magheragallon Cemetery. Rosary both nights at 9pm. House private from 11pm to 10am. Donations in lieu of flowers to the ICU Surgical One, Letterkenny University Hospital.

 

Eileen O’DONNELL
The death has occurred of Eileen O’Donnell, Tullygay, Letterkenny, Donegal.

Reposing at her late residence. Funeral Mass in St. Eunan’s Cathedral at 11am on Saturday morning, 17th February, with burial afterwards in Conwal Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to ICU Patient Comfort Fund, Letterkenny University Fund c/o Con McDaid & Sons Funeral Directors or any family member.

 

Peggy QUINN (née Tourish)
The death has taken place February 15th 2018 at Archview Lodge, Letterkenny of Peggy Quinn (née Tourish) Letterkenny Road, Lifford. Beloved wife of the late Phonsie, much loved mother of Don and Edel and sister of Mamie, Philomena, Irene and the late Colman and Martin

Reposing at Quigley’s Funeral Home, Strabane on Friday (February 16th ) from 3p.m. with removal at 4.30p.m. to St Patrick’s Church, Murlog, Lifford. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 11a.m. Interment afterwards in the the adjoining cemetery. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing son, daughter, sisters, grandchildren and family circle. Donations in lieu of flowers please to Archview Lodge.
