Donegal Death Notices – Rest in Peace

Donegal death notices for today, Sunday, February 18th.

 

Matthew MURPHY
The death has occurred of Matthew Murphy, 45 The Glebe, Donegal Town, formerly of Drogheda Co. Louth. Peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital. Father of Maureen, Neal and Meencally, Donegal Town. Will be sadly missed by his darling wife Anne, beloved children Maureen, Donegal Town, Deirdre, London, Raymond, London, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a large circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at his home on Sunday from 2pm to 10pm. Removal on Monday morning for 11am funeral Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Donegal Town, with interment afterwards in St. Columba’s Church Cemetery, Carrick, Co. Donegal. Isobel FUREY (née Murphy)
The death has occurred at Arch View Lodge Nursing Home, Letterkenny of Isobel Furey (nee Murphy), St.Columba’s Grove, Ballyduff Park, Lifford, and formerly Ballinkillen, Co.Carlow and Glenties, Co.Donegal. Sadly missed by her partner Peter, her sister Maura (Cole) Perth, Australia, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends.

Her remains will repose at the Oratory, Ballyduff Park on Sunday, Feb 18th, from 11am until 9pm. Funeral leaving from there on Monday, Feb 19th, at 9.30am for requiem Mass at 10am in St. Patrick’s Church, Murlog, with interment afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.

 

Conal O’DONNELL
The death has occurred of Conal O’Donnell, Conlin Road, Killybegs, Co. Donegal.

Remains reposing at his sister Margaret Murphy’s residence, Castlecommon from 6.30pm today, Sunday. Removal from there on Tuesday at 12.40pm to St.Mary’s Church, Killybegs for requiem mass at 1pm. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery. Family time from 11pm to 10am both nights.

 

Sean DIVER
The death has occurred of Sean Diver, Meentullynagarn, Killybegs, Co. Donegal.

Remains arriving at St. Mary’s Church, Killybegs on Monday for 7pm. Funeral mass on Tuesday at 11am, with burial afterwards in the local cemetery. House private please.

 

Kathleen CONAGHAN
The death has occurred in Falcarragh Community Hospital of Kathleen Conaghan, Meenlaragh, Gortahork. Survived by her two sisters Mary and Rose her two brothers, Peadar and Fr Michael (Canada), sister in law Mary, nieces and nephews.

Her remains are reposing at her brother Peadar Conaghan home in Meenlaragh. Removal from there on Monday the 19th February to Christ the King church, Gortahork for 7.00pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday the 20th February at 11.00am with burial afterwards in the adjacent cemetery. Rosary at 9.00 pm Sunday evening.

 

Lorraine ANDERSON
The death has occurred of Lorraine Anderson, 45 The Beeches, Ballybofey, Donegal, peacefully at the Donegal Hospice in the loving care of the staff, and surrounded by her family. Much loved daughter of Bridie and the late Eamon, devoted mother of Cliona, and dearly loved only sister of Martin, Zach, Keith, Eugene, Ian, and Eamon. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her mother, daughter, brothers, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Her remains will repose at her home from 5pm on Sunday Feb 18th. Funeral leaving her home on Tuesday Feb 20th at 10.30am for 11 am Requiem Mass in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar, with interment afterwards in Drumboe cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers,if so desired,to the Donegal Hospice, care of any family member.Family time from 11 pm until 10am and on the morning of the funeral.
