Mark English and Karl Griffin make it a Donegal 1-2 at National Indoors

THEY MAY BOTH BE wearing the vest of UCD but there’s no denying the pride in Donegal this evening following the 800m final today of the National Indoor Championships.

Mark English from Letterkenny and formerly of Letterkenny AC and Donegal town’s Karl Griffin, who was brought up competing with Tir Chonaill AC , were first and second respectively at Athlone IT today.

English clocked 1.53.54, which beat Griffin into second and John Fitzsimons from Kildare AC was third.
