Donegal Death Notices – Rest in Peace

Donegal death notices for today, Wednesday, February 21.

 

Sister Dympna MCHUGH
The death has occurred of Sister Dympna McHugh, Sisters of Mercy Ballyshannon & Donegal and formerly of Garrison, Co Fermanagh, peacefully at the Southwest Acute Hospital, Enniskillen.

Funeral Arrangements to be announced later. All enquiries can be made to Patrick McKenna Funeral Directors, Ballyshannon on 087 2485819.

 

Paddy (Con) MC LOONE
The death has taken place at The Maidstone Hospital, Kent, England, of Paddy (Con) Mc Loone, 9 Hadley Gardens, Hollingbourne, London and formerly Rosbeg, Portnoo, Co. Donegal. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Bridget (nee Walsh, Derryrush, Connemara, Co. Galway) and son Brendan. Sadly missed by his daughter-in-law Jillian, grandchildren Ross and Megan, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Service this evening (Tuesday) at 7pm at Holy Cross Church, Sangley Road, Catford, London, followed by repatriation to Portnoo, Co. Donegal.

His remains will arrive at Ireland West Airport, Knock, on Thursday at 2.35pm and will be removed to Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Sandfield, Ardara, where he will repose from 7.30pm to 9pm with rosary at 9pm. Funeral from there on Friday afternoon at 1pm to St Conal’s Church, Kilclooney, travelling via Rosbeg and Portnoo, for 2pm Funeral Mass, with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

 

Rose MC FADDEN
The death has taken place of Rose Mc Fadden, Killoughcarron, Creeslough, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. Her remains are reposing at her late residence.

Funeral Mass in St. Michael’s Church, Creeslough on Thursday (22nd) at 11am with burial afterwards in Doe cemetery. Family time from 11pm till 10am and on the morning of the funeral. Family flowers only please donations if desired to the Donegal Hospice c/o any family member.

 

Nancy KILPATRICK
The death has occurred of Nancy Kilpatrick, Tully Mountain, Ramelton, Donegal

Funeral Service today, Wednesday, at 2pm at Ramelton Presbyterian Church followed by burial in Bank Cemetery, Ramelton. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Áras Uí Dhomhnaill Patients Comfort Fund.

 

Maureen KELLY
The death took place on 19th February at Letterkenny University Hospital of Maureen Kelly, 43 Ard O’Donnell, Letterkenny.

Her remains will repose at her residence from 3pm on Tuesday 20th until late removal on Wednesday 21st to St Patrick’s Church Drumkeen arriving at 7pm to repose overnight. Funeral mass at 11am on Thursday with internment after in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please donations in lieu if desired to the Donegal Hospice or Hillcrest House Nursing home c/o of any family member or the funeral director.

 

Mary KELLY (née Keaney)
The sudden death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Mary Kelly, Glencar Rd., Letterkenny & formerly Keaney, Glasgow, loving wife of Frank, devoted mother of James (England), Marty, Maurice and Paul (Letterkenny), Sean (Dublin), Maria Murphy (Dublin), son-in-law Eoin, daughters-in-law Tricia, Alison and Shiloe, grandchildren Luke, Gracie, Harper and Katie, deeply regretted by her family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Mary’s remains will repose at her late residence, Glencar Road. Funeral from there on Thursday, 22nd February, going to St. Eunan’s Cathedral for 10am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in Conwal Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Intensive Care Unit, Letterkenny University Hospital c/o Paschal Blake Funeral Director, Stoney Arch, Newline Road, Letterkenny. Family time from 9pm to 12 noon and also on the morning of the funeral.

 

Andy HEGARTY
The death has occurred of Andy Hegarty, Ardaghey, Inver, Donegal, peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital.

Reposing at his late residence today, Wednesday from 12 noon to 11pm. Removal on Thursday morning to St. Naul’s Church, Ardaghey for Funeral Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in the local cemetery. House private at all other times and the morning of the funeral.

 

Teresa COYLE (née Hone)
The death has occurred of Teresa Coyle (nee Hone) Mullindrait, Stranorlar and formerly of Killtefergal, Cloghan / Cashel, Tipperary.

Reposing at her home in Mullindrait, Stranorlar from 12 noon today Tuesday until removal on Thursday at 10.15am for Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Glenfin at 11 o clock with burial afterwards in Cill Mhuire Cemetery. Rosary each night at 10pm. Family time on morning of Funeral. Teresa is survived by her 4 children Steve, Santina, Nicola, Amanda and 9 beautiful grandchildren, sisters Nan Hone, Killtefergal, Cloghan, Kathleen McCullagh, Stranorlar, and brother Paddy Hone, England and also nephews, neices and extened Family.

 

Anthony CHAMBERS
The death has occurred of Anthony Chambers, Railway Avenue, Killygordon, Donegal.

Reposing at his late residence. Removal on Thursday morning at 10.30am to St. Patrick’s Church, Crossroads for 11am Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the Old Cemetery, Stranorlar. Family time please from 11pm to 11am.

 

Brian BRITTON
The death has occurred of Brian Britton, Marine Court, Blackrock, Co. Louth and formerly of Rossnowlagh, Co. Donegal, 20th February 2018, peacefully at home. Brian, much loved husband and best friend of Antoinette, dear father of John, Neil and Naomi, father-in-law of Fiona and Aoife, grandad of Jenna, Aisling, Daisy, Cora and Fionn, and brother of Conor, Barry, William and David. Deeply regretted by his wife, sons, daughter, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, brothers, nephews, nieces, relatives and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Mc Geough’s Funeral Home, Jocelyn Street from 3pm Wednesday, with removal at 6.O’ Clock to St. Oliver Plunkett Church, Blackrock, arriving for evening prayers at 6.30pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 12.O’Clock, followed by burial in St. Fursey’s Cemetery, Haggardstown. House Private at all times. Family flowers only, donations to Leukemia Trust.

 

Frances BOYD
The death has taken place at peacefully at her residence of Frances Boyd, Garrawort, Ardara. Deeply regretted by her loving daughters Anna and Belinda. Sadly missed by her sons-in-law David (Friel) and William (Payne), grandchildren Tamara and Colton and partners Paul and Amy, great grandchild Willow, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Her remains will repose at her residence. Funeral from there today (Wednesday) afternoon at 1.30pm to Ardara Methodist Church for 2pm funeral Service with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Family time from 10pm tonight and on the morning of the funeral. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to The Donegal Hospice and the Methodist Church, Ardara c/o any family member.
