Listen: Ollie Horgan on the task of rebuilding at Finn Harps

Ollie Horgan begins his fifth season as manager of Finn Harps on Friday night.

Harps start life back in the First Division when they travel to face the also-demoted Drogheda United at United Park.

Several players have gone both ways through the door at Finn Park over the winter months, but the additions of the likes of Aidan Friel, Ciaran O’Connor, Michael O’Connor and John O’Flynn have sparked optimism from the Harps faithful.

“We’re starting again and it’ll take time,” Horgan said.

“It’s a new squad and a new team.

“Who’s to say that they won’t get us where we want to?

“Whoever wins this League won’t be coming back down the following year. Whoever comes out of it will be a serious side.

“It’s a much better standard than when we were last in it. With a bit of luck, please God we’ll compete.”
