Listen: Declan Bonner says ‘four-pointer’ with Kildare is ‘must win’ for Donegal

After defeating Tyrone last weekend in the Dr McKenna Cup final, Donegal return to their Division 1 survival bid this Sunday when they welcome Kildare to Ballyshannon.

After narrow defeats to Kerry, Galway and Dublin, all in games they might’ve felt they could have taken something from.

But Sunday’s game now clashes two sides who have yet to pick up a point in the League.

“We have to turn the League performances into points. It’s an important match, absolutely,” Bonner said.

“It’s a match that’s a four-pointer and if we’re to remain, we have to get the two points. That’s what we’re geared to and prepared for.

“We want to stay in Division 1 but it isn’t the be-all and end-all.”
