Another win for Lettermacaward’s Shaun McShane in Scotland

Shaun McShane extended his record to 7-4-1 tonight in Aberdeen.

The 37-year-old Lettermacaward native overcame Liall Mackenzie at the Hilton Hotel, Aberdeen.

McShane took a points win for his second victory of 2018 following last month’s win over James Gorman.

The Donegal super-lightweight had just one fight – which he won – in 2017, but is looking to stay active this year.

“He came out with all guns blazing, wanting to put on a show, but it was nothing I hadn’t seen before so I was able to match him,” McShane said.

“I can fight that way in every round, but he started to blow up. It was down to experience. It was a good, hard fight. The two of us slugged it out.”

29-year-old Mackenzie drops to 2-1 with the first defeat of his pro career, while McShane is aiming to get a bout in April.
