Letterkenny Rovers have been handed a HOME draw in the semi-finals of the FAI New Balance Intermediate Cup.

Rovers have been drawn at home to Leinster Senior League side Firhouse Clover in the last four tie.

Firhouse Clover put Crumlin United to the sword in the last round.

The semi-finals take place on March 25 with Roves set to welcome Firhouse to Leckview Park.

The other game sees UCD or Maynooth hosting Avondale or Dublin Bus

A brace of goals by Darren McElwaine gave Rovers a 2-0 quarter-final win over Home Farm at Leckview Park.

Away to Cherry Orchard in the round of 16, Conor Tourish, Ryan Lonergan and Pajo Rafferty netted in an impressive 3-0 win by the Cathedral Town side.

Rovers showed their mettle before Christmas when twice coming from behind to overcome Midleton FC from Cork at the Aura, where Rafferty’s brace and a winner from Sean McCarron fired them through.

McCarron has since departed, signing for Irish League side Institute while Lee Toland has recently signed with Finn Harps.

Rovers, though, have welcomed Paul McVeigh back into the fold, while Declan Sharkey, Chris Dillon, Luke Nelis and John Roulstone have all been added to McConigley’s roster.
