Businesses in Donegal interested in finding sales in a market already open to Irish trade, are being urged to make the most of the chance to come along to a workshop in the Local Enterprise Office in Letterkenny tomorrow (Thursday) to hear how they can find sales in the Dutch market.
“Many Donegal businesses probably do not realise that The Netherlands is Ireland’s second most important mainland European export market and there are tremendous opportunities for growth there,” Head of Enterprise in Donegal, Michael Tunney said.
He added that the Local Enterprise Office is delighted to have Steve Murnaghan an Export Consultant, based in Amsterdam, in Donegal for the event this week, to present an overview of the Netherlands and how companies here can explore new sales opportunities.
“Steve will dispel some of mystery surrounding preparing for export, selecting and researching markets, prospecting, getting to market and gaining traction in Europe and I am certain that many businesses in Donegal could gain a lot from hearing what he has to say,” Mr Tunney added.
The event in the Local Enterprise Office tomorrow afternoon is just one of many organised across the county this week as part of Local Enterprise Week.
The week’s events will conclude with a marketing event in Gallagher’s hotel on Friday morning where a small number of places are still available.
“We are certain that there have been terrific learning and networking opportunities for businesses every day, and I would urge those interested in discovering new markets for their business to book for the workshop with Steve Murnaghan,” Mr. Tunney said.
