Even more reason why you shouldn’t park in a disabled bay without a permit

Anyone thinking of parking in a disabled parking bay in Co Donegal face even bigger fines.

Donegal County Council has increased the cost of its fixed penalties for parking in such an area without displaying a disabled parking badge.

The fine was €80 but this has now been increased to €150.

If this fine is not paid within 28 days, then the fine increases to €225 up to 56 days after the fine has been issued and after that a summons will be issued for offenders to appear in court.

Details of the new fines are included on Donegal County Council’s Facebook page which is included as a link on the Donegal Daily website.
