Picture Special: Rosses Community School hosts road safety event

Transition year students from secondary schools across west Donegal last week travelled to Dungloe to attend a road safety event at the Rosses Community School.

The Donegal Local Development Company and RSA-run event highlighted the devastating impact of road traffic accidents and encouraged the students to practice safe driving.

Students experienced a roll-over in a specially set up simulator, and experienced a crash in virtual reality. The Fire Service and Ambulance Crews also demonstrated a car crash rescue.

Brian O’Donnell, Donegal County Council Road Safety Officer also attended the event, along with members of An Garda Síochána.
