Build18 experts are ready to answer your questions

Are you planning to build, renovate, extend or move? Build18, proudly supported by AIB, has all the advice you’ll need – for FREE.

Build18 offers house builders a unique opportunity to get free advice from trusted, local professionals. Our experts will walk you step by step through the entire build process – and all under one roof.

Build18 is designed for anyone building, renovating or extending their property – whether first-time self-builders or experienced multi-site developers.

Our team will be only too happy to discuss your plans so remember to bring along any drawings or let us know your ideas for your build project. Helping you make the right moves is what the expo is all about.

The two-day event will take place on the weekend of March 24th and 25th at Newtowncunningham Business Park and is bigger than ever before this year.

More than 40 exhibitors have signed up to be a part of the biggest home-building expo in the North West. The layout of the venue reflects the build process to make it easy for attendees to navigate.

Build team leader Darren Donaghy, from Donaghy Safety Training, is urging anyone considering a building or home improvement project to come along and talk to the experts which includes architects, energy efficiency experts, builders, health and safety professionals, solicitors, mortgage advisers and much more.

“Attending the expo could help those planning a project to save valuable time and money on their build. With the help of professional advice anyone building, extending, renovating or moving can be sure they are making decisions which won’t lead to lengthy delays and increased fee outlays.

“This is a one-off opportunity in 2018 for anyone considering building, renovating, buying, selling or moving in Donegal to get a head start with the right advice on everything from planning pitfalls to grant availability.”

Build18’s organising committee consists wholly of local construction industry leaders who want to help local people make the right decisions to ensure their project runs smoothly.

With the support of AIB, the Build18 committee has brought together selected exhibitors while taking great care to ensure no crossover in industry offering in order to maximise the experience of attendees.

Mr Donaghy adds: “All Build18 exhibitors are proven and trusted experts, and have been carefully chosen based on their expertise in their respective fields. We have admitted only one expert per sector in order to cover the entire range of knowledge required for a build project, right from inception to inhabitation and beyond.”

Sally-Ann Mullholland, Head of Homes, AIB Donegal, says AIB is proud to be associated with the event once again.

Sally Ann Mulholland, Head of Homes at AIB Donegal.

“We’re delighted to engage with attendees at Build 18. AIB wants to help our customers achieve their dreams and ambitions, and building a home is such a high priority for our customers.

“Self-build is a big part of our mortgage offering in Donegal and that’s why it’s important for AIB to be a part of this event.

“Our experts will be on hand to speak with anyone building, renovating or improving their homes and to illustrate the mortgage and loan options available at AIB.”

Entry to both the event and the fantastic Build18 prize draw is FREE.

Build18 will open at Newtowncunningham Business Park on Saturday, March 24 from 10am to 4pm and Sunday, March 25 from 12pm to 4pm.
