McElhinneys and The Hatter Coffee Co join forces for the best shoppers’ pick-me-up

McElhinneys of Ballybofey has announced that it will begin serving coffee from the Hatter Tearoom in Stranorlar from tomorrow, Friday 16th March.

In another step towards supporting and promoting local businesses, these two companies have come together to create an amazing offering of the best coffee the Twin Towns has to provide!

The Hatter Story starts back in 2014 when the husband and wife team of Paddy and Shelley McMeniman took the bold step of opening their first Hatter Tearoom in Stranorlar. Using their combined experience from other roles, they believed they could create the perfect venue – with the best food, excellent customer service and great value for money. Staying true to their original mantra all these years has resulted in a hugely successful business, and multiple award wins for Customer Service among others.

Always a warm welcome at the Hatter Tea Room

In 2016, Paddy took on the initiative to train as a Barista and progressed to become a trainer himself, so he could pass on this new knowledge and skills on to his team here in Stranorlar. From this the Hatter Barista College was born, which now supplies individuals and companies alike with certificates and new skills in making the perfect cup of coffee.

Just last year, Paddy and Shelly took another step into the business world and began operating the Hatter Express in Ballybofey. This new enterprise places emphasis on grab and go, without quality being compromised!

With either of the stores, you can order in store, or use the Badoo app to order ahead. Amazingly the Hatter is the only company outside of Dublin to utilise this handy app.

With the success of the 2 stores, the opportunity arose to sell their own branded coffee, roasted exclusively for the Hatter. The Hatter’s own coffee can be found in over 10 locations around the North West, the latest being with McElhinneys!

Both the Hatter and McElhinneys are incredibly proud to be able to work together and continue to provide the best of service for all our customers! Paddy will be in-store in McElhinneys from 11am on Friday, 16th March where we will be serving FREE coffee all day today, and Paddy will be demonstrating his Barista skills with the Hatter’s unique coffee. Be sure to pop in-store if you’re around Ballybofey!
