Gardaí in Donegal have issued another appeal for information regarding Mary Boyle on the 41st anniversary of her disappearance.
The six-year-old schoolgirl disappeared from Cashelard, Ballyshannon in Co Donegal on 18th March 1977.
Gardaí issued a statement yesterday to say their investigation ‘remains live and ongoing’.
Gardaí are asking anyone “who has tangible evidence to help advance this investigation and bring some comfort to the Boyle family to please come forward”.
A protest took place in Stranorlar last week calling on Donegal County Coroner, Dr Denis McCauley, to hold an inquest into Mary’s death. The group, which included Mary’s twin sister Ann, handed in a petition to Dr McCauley’s office containing more than 10,000 names demanding an inquest into Mary’s case be heard.
Gardaí can be contacted at Ballyshannon Garda Station on 071 9858530 or the Garda Confidential Line, 1800 666 111.
