Gardaí in Letterkenny last night rescued a lost dog and took it into the station, not for questioning, but for feeding!

Officers are seeking assistance from the public to find the owner of this pooch, who was found in the Gortlee area of Letterkenny at 9.30pm on Wednesday night.

Officers had to make a quick stop to the Mountain Top to get the dog a late night snack, and shared photos of it chowing down on some chunks in the station.

If you know or recognise this dog, please contact Letterkenny Garda Station on 074-916-7100 / 074-916-7170
