Champions Kilcar to begin in Fintra and there’s a Group of Death – Championship draws in full here

Reigning Donegal SFC winners Kilcar will begin their defence of Dr Maguire at the home of their nearest and oldest rivals, Killybegs.

The draw for the 2018 Donegal Club Championships was made this afternoon at Michael Murphy Sports and Leisure, the sponsors of the Championships.

Kilcar will face Killybegs in their opening SFC clash this year, with the Towney men – who bridged a 24-year gap to land the big prize in 2017 – also set to take on Milford and Sean MacCumhaills.

Kilcar were relieved to avoid being drawn in the ‘Group of Death’.

And there will be a big faller from Group B, where Naomh Conaill, St Eunan’s and Gaoth Dobhair are all in the mix, with Dungloe set to add spice for derby jousts with Naomh Conaill and Gaoth Dobhair.

For St Eunan’s, here, there are away games at both Dungloe and Naomh Conaill, which perhaps adds considerably to their opening clash with Gaoth Dobhair.
