John Bosco Gallagher summed it up well when he talked of the ‘devastation’ his Coláiste Ailigh had to go through in today’s All-Ireland D final.
The Letterkenny scholars lost out to St Cuan’s from Galway, who scored two points in injury time to take the prize from under the noses of their opponents.
“I thought the least we deserved was extra time,” Gallagher said.
“That was our 11th game and to lose by a point, the lads are absolutely devastated.
“There’s very little you can say. It’s so hard to get to an All-Ireland final. To nearly win it and then lose it that way…I’d have preferred to lose it by six or seven.”
