CLG Gaoth Dobhair to benefit from €3,900 grant

Bord na nÓg, CLG Gaoth Dobhair, has been awarded a grant of €3,939 to purchase training equipment.

The grant was approved by Donegal TD Joe McHugh, Government Chief Whip and Minister of State for Irish, the Gaeltacht and the Islands, under the 20 Year Strategy for the Irish Language 2010-2030.

Announcing this grant, the Minister said: “I am delighted to make the grant available to Bord na nÓg who attend to the youth of the parish and provide a broad program of sporting events for them.

“This is funding that goes to the heart of the community.”

D’fhógair Joe McHugh T.D.,  Príomh-Aoire an Rialtais agus Aire Stáit don Ghaeilge, don Ghaeltacht agus do na hOileáin, inniu, 29 Márta, go bhfuil deontas €3,939 ceadaithe aige do Bhord na nÓg, CLG Ghaoth Dobhair, chun cuidiú leo trealamh traenála spóirt a cheannach.

Ag fógairt an deontais seo, dúirt an tAire Stáit: “Tá an-áthas air an deontas a chur ar fáil do Bhord na nÓg agus iad ag freastal ar óige an pharóiste agus clár leathan imeachtaí spóirt á chur ar fáil acu dóibh.

“Maoiniú atá anseo a théann istigh I gcroílár an phobail.”

Is faoin réimse gnímh An Ghaeltacht de chuid na Straitéise 20 Bliain don Ghaeilge 2010-2030 atá an deontas á cheadú.
