Gardai in Letterkenny are investigating an incident in which children were approached by a man at a local park.

The children were along with the father last weekend at Bernard McGlinchey Town Park.

The children’s father was buttoning the coat of one of the children
when the stranger approached asking the other children to show him the
toilets.

The worried mother said “When he saw my husband walking towards him,
he moved away very quickly and was almost at the main exit of the park
by the time my husband reached the children and asked them what he had
been speaking to them about.”

The terrified mum said she didn’t like to think why he wanted the
children to go over to the toilet with him.

Gardai have confirmed they have received a report on the matter and
urged anyone who notices anybody acting suspiciously to come forward.
