A cross-border hunt is underway after a brazen couple stole keys from premises in Buncrana and made off in a car.

The incident happened just before 9.30am when the thieves walked into premises on the town’s Main Street and took the keys.

The pair then jumped into a blue-coloured Toyota car.

Gardai were alerted to the robbery and tried to stop it as it crossed from Bridgend into Derry.

Gardai have appealed to anybody who may have any information on the robbery or may know of the whereabouts of the car to contact them at Buncrana Garda station on 0749320540.
