Donegal woman had lucky escape after accident on ferry

A family headed to visit relatives in Donegal had a miraculous escape when a large object fell on their car.

Donegal native Rosa Wakeham and her family were disembarking the ferry in Dublin when a large unidentified object smashed through the glass roof of their car.

Rosa, her husband Michael and their three children were getting off the cross-channel ferry when the accident occurred yesterday.

The family had been travelling from their home in Staffordshire, England.

Michael said “We still don’t know what fell on us. We were very lucky nobody was injured.”
