ST NAUL’S Stephen Griffin scored 1-6 in his side’s All-County Football League Division 2 win over Ardara in Mountcharles last night.

St Naul’s 1-15 Ardara 0-9

Under the management of last year’s partnership of St Eunan’s, Barry Meehan and Eddie Brennan, St Naul’s got ahead to lead 0-8 to 0-5 at the end of a first half that was tit-for-tat for long spells.

The only goal of the game came from a Griffin penalty on 44 minutes, with Peadar Mogan and goalkeeper Gavin Mulreaney also popping over a couple of frees apiece. Cathal Lowther and Daniel Meehan also scored two each from play.

Gareth Concarr, Brendan McNelis and Johnny Herron all scored second half points for the visitors.
