Ireland’s largest marching band parade took place today in Dungloe to mark Easter Sunday.

Seventeen bands from across the county marched down the main street, with hundreds of onlookers gathering to watch the spectacle. Fresh off the plane from the Big Apple, host band Dungloe proudly led the parade this afternoon.

There were even a few famous faces spotted in the crowd!

Speaking to Donegal Daily, Maghery band chairperson Annemarie O’Donnell says: “Donegal is very fortunate to have such a proud tradition of bands and this annual parade and competition showcases just how much Donegal has on offer.

“It is such a fun and enjoyable day out for all the family and great to see traditions like this continue.”
