Would you go the extra 6.2 miles to support Anam Cara?

Anam Cara, the national organisation that supports bereaved parents, is hoping that Donegal women will consider running on its behalf in this year’s Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon in Dublin on June 3rd.

The hugely popular mini marathon covers 10k, or 6.2 miles, around Dublin. Last year, a whopping €9.3 million was raised for hundreds of charities; bringing the total amount raised over the mini marathon’s 35 year run to an estimated €210 million!

The Anam Cara team will be commemorating ten years, during which the organisation has supported almost 10,000 bereaved mothers and fathers throughout Ireland.

Anam Cara brings together bereaved parents and their families to support each other – through monthly meetings, information evenings with guest speakers, family days and remembrance events.

They are calling on women who are planning to run to consider doing so on behalf of Anam Cara in memory of a special loved one.

If interested, please contact Anam Cara at info@anamcara.ie or 01 404 5378 for your fundraising pack and details of the pre- and post-run rendezvous.

All funds raised through this event will be used to support bereaved parents at the ten Anam Cara groups nationwide.

Anam Cara Donegal will be hosting their monthly parent evening on Thursday 12th of April from 7.30pm-9:00pm in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal.

The free meeting offers parents a safe and comfortable forum where they can connect with other bereaved parents who will understand the depth of their grief and loss.

For more information see anamcara.ie or ring their Information Line on 085 2888 888 & NI 02895213120.
