A team of contractors has been appointed for the development of a building at the Donegal GAA Training Centre in Convoy.

McDermott & Trearty from Letterkenny have been chosen to oversee the building.

Works are expected to commence in the coming weeks on the project.

In January, it was confirmed that an additional €300,000 in funding was being made available from Croke Park.

The National Finance and Infrastructure committees had proposed the allocation.

The new building will be a total of 1,270 square metres and is to include seven dressing rooms, two referees’ rooms, a medical room, public toilets, plant room, switch room and stores; as well as a gym, multipurpose hall and an administration area.

A targeted completion date for the project has been set at February 2019.
