Two Donegal students have won top prizes in this year’s 64th Texaco Children’s Art Competition.
The two students to receive Special Merit Awards are Keila Baldemor (7), from Letterkenny, for her self-portrait work and Aimee Sheridan (13), from Loreto Convent Letterkenny, for her self-portrait.
Over 400 students from Donegal took part in the annual art competition that aims to encourage children through art. The judging process is carried out by a panel of independent judges, including Dr. Denise Ferran (pictured above).
Prizes will be presented at an awards ceremony in Dublin next month when all of the 126 top prize-winners will be in attendance.
