Traffic close to the Dry Arch Roundabout out of Letterkenny almost came to a standstill this evening after a lorry shed some of its load.
It is understood a lorry tipped off three large bags of fertiliser, each bag weighing up to a tonne.
The accident happened just before 6pm with traffic at its busiest between the main Letterkenny to Derry route.
Gardai directed the traffic but there were sever tailbacks.
The spillage was sorted a time later and the road is now clear again.
