West Donegal is to host a brand new music festival and it’s set t be a scorcher.

SULT is a two-day Annual Outdoor Music Festival which aims to encourage huge interest in Gaoth Dobhair by offering a natural haven of fun, excitement, music and entertainment for the festival enthusiast.

The Initial SULT Committee was set up in early 2017 and consisted of four members: Brian McCafferty from whom the idea was proposed, Geraldine Boyle as Secretary, Pearse Doherty as Treasurer and Anne Marie Blair as PR Manager.

After extensive research organisers embraced the idea of injecting a much-needed buzz and excitement to the area through music and craic and the project was adopted.

The Non for Profit Committee has now grown in strength and boasts 15 members who all live locally.

Their main objective is to ‘Give back to the Community’ by pulling our Skill-Sets to organise and deliver a 2 day Annual Outdoor Music Festival on our stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way in Magheragallon, Gweedore on 6th and 7th July 2018. Profits from the festival will be re-invested in local community projects.

The Festival will host a Disco on Friday evening 6th, while well-renowned live bands will play from 4pm till late on Saturday 7th.

SULT aims to offer all of the ingredients of a well-established Festival in its premier year offering an attractive line-up, spacious marquee, good variety of catering units, security, shuttle buses, taxis and of course local accommodation readily available.

Gweedore and the surrounding areas is bursting with musicians of every genre and this Festival will provide a platform to showcase some of our accomplished local talent alongside more popular national headline acts:
