Two Donegal men who have made valuable contributions to the local health sector will have their work recognised at a special council reception this evening.

Mayor of Letterkenny Municipal District Jimmy Kavanagh will host a reception for Dr Gerry Lane and Hugh McBride this Monday evening at the Letterkenny Public Service Centre.

The community work of Dr Gerry Lane has been well-publicised over the years. Dr Lane is a consultant in emergency medicine at Letterkenny University Hospital who fronts the national Road Safety Authority campaigns to warn people of the devastating impact of road collisions and drink driving.
