Two Donegal men who have made valuable contributions to the local health sector will have their work recognised at a special council reception this evening.
Mayor of Letterkenny Municipal District Jimmy Kavanagh will host a reception for Dr Gerry Lane and Hugh McBride this Monday evening at the Letterkenny Public Service Centre.
The community work of Dr Gerry Lane has been well-publicised over the years. Dr Lane is a consultant in emergency medicine at Letterkenny University Hospital who fronts the national Road Safety Authority campaigns to warn people of the devastating impact of road collisions and drink driving.
Mr Hugh McBride is a former Addiction Counsellor at St. Conal’s, Letterkenny University Hospital.
Public representatives, family and friends will be gathering today to honour the outstanding contributions both men have made to the community, which is sure to be a proud day for all.
