Motorists in Letterkenny have been warned that roadworks in the High Road area will continue this week.
Contractors are busy laying new pipes for Irish Water close to Letterkenny General Hospital.
The contractors are now concentrating on the High Road area and will switch to night-time laying to avoid traffic disruption.
A spokesman said “So far this week we have installed 86m of pipe down the High Road, due to obstructions we will be switching lanes on Monday 23rd April this means come Monday we will be switching to night work. We will be working 7pm-7am, this work will be carried out under Stop-Go traffic management.
“We hope to be commencing full road closure (from Iona Road to Macs Mace) from Thursday 26th April. This work is to be carried out during nightshift. We intend to be on nights for the next 3-4 weeks, working Monday to Friday night.”
