Letterkenny 24/7’s Terence and Raj take part in Madrid Half Marathon

The Raphoe duo Terence Quinn and Raj Meehan travelled to Madrid over the weekend to take part in the Madrid Half Marathon. 

Indeed Raj decided only at the marathon expo to take part in the half marathon, changing his entry from the 10k. Well done to both on brilliant times, reports from Madrid say they are still partying!

Falcarragh Duathlon

Well done to junior club member Daniel Mc Gettigan who was 4th overall and winner of the U11 category at Saturday’s Falcarragh Duathlon.

In the sprint -2/10/2 mile event Junior Ciaran McGettigan was the first club member home in 9th place

in a brilliant time of 56.12. Colm Corcoran finished in 18th position in a time of 58.56.  Enda Carr  finished 26th overall in 101.31. Juniors Neil and Sean Martin were 30th and 33rd overall, finishing in 103.10 and 105.53 respectively. Kathryn Russell performed well ahead of this weekend’s try a tri finishing in 1.11.33.

Great performances from 24/7 members with our juniors excelling once again!

Mid Ulster Duathlon 

Bronagh O’Gara travelled to Limavady to take part in the Mid Ulster Duathlon hosted by the Triangle Triathlon Club. Bronagh had a superb performance finishing 2nd female overall in 56:48.

The McGettigan brothers were also in action at Sunday’s Mid Ulster Grand Prix.

In the U12 event Daniel finished in 11th position while Ciaran finished in 5th position in the U16 event.

Club  Training

Club training continues as follows:

Tuesday:  Road based session-6.30pm from Aura -Hi-viz essential- no hi- viz no session!

Wednesday: Swim session- Beginners 7-8pm, All others 8-9pm

Thursday: Brick  session 7pm sharp from Foxhall- Brick Marshal -Anne Robinson

Saturday: Club cycle leaves from Aura at 8am

Saturday: Club swim session Saturday at 6pm Additional lane added for 14-16yr old club members- MUST be accompanied by a parent (please note prepayment does not cover Saturday swim).
