Glengad United moved three points clear at the summit of the Jackie Crossan Premier Division last night.

Shane Byrne’s men scored a 3-0 away win at Illies Celtic to go three in front of Aileach FC at the top of the pile.

Terence Doherty – who netted a hat-trick in Saturday evening’s Clubman Shirts League Cup final win over Redcaste – was again in clinical form.

Doherty bagged a double to help Glengad open a little gap to their title rivals.

Doherty’s first-half opener had Glengad in front and James McKinney kept his cool from a penalty to double the advantage.

Doherty tucked home a third to seal an important win for the Crua side.
