Gardai investigating the disappearance of Sligo woman Natalia Karaczyn have confirmed that a body has been located in a wooded area outside Sligo town.
Search teams found the body at around 10am on Tuesday morning near Carns, Sligo.
The body has not been formally identified. The office of the State Pathologist has been notified and the Garda Technical Bureau are at the scene. Gardai wish to thank the public for their assistance.
Ms Karaczyn, aged 30, had been missing from her home at Crozon Park in Sligo town since early Sunday. A nationwide appeal was made to find the mother of three. A 32-year-old man was arrested at Ballymote Garda Station on Monday and released without charge this morning. In the wake of this morning’s discovery, it is reported that the man has been rearrested.
