A number of burst water mains have been reported on the Inishowen Peninsula today (Wednesday), with some supplies not expected to be restored until 9pm tonight.

A major burst at Burnfoot, Inch Island and surrounding areas is being investigated by Irish Water this afternoon, where repairs have an estimated completion time of 9pm on 2 May.

Elsewhere, homes and businesses near Quigleys Point are being affected by a disruption that is due to be repaired by 4pm.

At Malin Head, Ballygorman and Bree, repairs are estimated to be completed by 3pm.

Outages in Urris, Clonmany and Crossconnell are estimated to be completed by 3pm.

Service updates are available at www.water.ie
