Kildrum Tigers title-winner Damian Crossan says winning the Donegal League Premier Division is as good as a World Cup!

The St Johnston man pounced to score a last-gap goal as the Tigers earned a draw with Castlefin Celtic to swing the pendulum in their favour for a final time.

The Tigers trailed to Shane Gallagher’s 56th minute opener and the silverware was heading for Castlefin until Crossan struck.

“You could win three-nil and it wouldn’t be as sweet,” he beamed.  You have to take those chances. I couldn’t see where a goal was coming from. I asked the ref’ how long was left and he said a minute – that made it all the sweeter.

“It means everything. This is like winning the World Cup for me.”
