Staff members and customers from Kernans sites across Donegal have been busy collecting unwanted Clothing, Shoes, Sheets & Handbags In Aid Of Relay For Life, all this month.

The first collection took place yesterday at their sites in Newtown, Tullygay Newmills, Lower Main Street Letterkenny and Drumkeen with a collection scheduled for their stores in Ramelton & Ballyshannon early next week.

The early signs are good as over 100 bags have been donated with the first collection and many more are yet to come in. The Kernan Group Managing Director & Proprietor Anthony Kernan commended the efforts of his employees and thanked everyone who has donated to this great cause so far.

“The response so far has been fantastic, our entire team across Donegal have got behind this and its amazing to see what a combined effort can achieve,” said Anthony.

“I would like to appeal to all our customers to fill one bag of unwanted clothing and donate it to their local Kernans store where it will be weighted and turned into cash for Relay For Life Donegal”.

The Kernans Community Recycling Initiative will run until the 2nd/3rd of June with a donation point on site during the Relay For Life Event.
