In-form veteran Shaun McShane has title in sights after latest pro win

Shaun McShane extended his professional record to 8-4-1 last weekend – and is planning a tilt at a title.

The veteran Lettermacaward man (37) overcame Myles Vale in a four-round welterweight contest last Saturday in the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Glasgow,

McShane, with wins over James Gorman and Liall Mackenzie under his belt already in 2018, continued his excellent form.

“Myles was two weight divisions above me and he came to upset me,” McShane reflected.

“If I hadn’t trained as hard as I did, it could have been a different outcome. He came in in good shape and hats off to him. We had a hell of a fight.”

McShane is slated to fight against in the Strathclyde Hilton on September 7th – when he plans to be back at lightweight.

He said: “After the summer, there will be a few titles available so the next plan will be getting a shot at one. I’m back up there now after four wins so it’s just a case of wait and see.”
