Michael Murphy surveyed a familiar sight as he look down from the Gerry Arthurs Stand after taking receipt of the Anglo Celt Cup.

Donegal have won the Ulster title nine times now and Murphy has been captain for four of those wins.

It is quite the record for the Glenswilly man, who added 2018 to his triumphs of 2011, 2012 and 2014 this afternoon – and says the feeling is as good as it ever was.

“It’s very much the same picture, just looking down at the Donegal people, proud as punch and over the moon,” Murphy said.

“I’m delighted to be able to do it after what’s been a hard few years for us.

“It feels fairly similar to what it did on day one. it’s just brilliant to do. It’s good to get the win and we’ll try and push on for the Super 8s.”
