Up to 45,000 tickets are launching today for the Papal visit to Knock Shrine in Co. Mayo in August.
Pope Francis will visit Knock on Sunday 26th August as part of his Ireland visit for the World Meeting of Families.
The event is free to attend, but tickets are necessary for all adults and children. To register, visit www.worldmeeting2018.ie
However, some hopeful attendees are facing website issues this Monday morning due to a rush of visitors logging on to the site. Users have experienced slow loading times similar to other large-scale online ticket releases.
The Pope will fly into Knock Airport on Sunday, August 26th to visit the Chapel of Knock Shrine at 9.45am. He will circuit in the pope mobile and pray the Angelus at the Apparition Chapel before departing from Knock Shrine at 11.15am.
Pope Francis will celebrate Mass at Phoenix Park in Dublin on Sunday afternoon at 3pm. Ticket numbers are limited to 500,000 for the event in Phoenix Park.
