Local Milford primary school, Scoil Mhuire Milford, has received a generous donation from Mulroy Woods of €1000 to upgrade their computers.

Thanks to the hotel’s fundraising efforts, the school will be able to improve their technology for the benefit of all pupils.

Patricia and Marty Kelly from Mulroy Woods said “with technology changing so fast and the cost involved, we are delighted to be able to help the school with upgrading their computers. The need for children to gain a working knowledge and understanding of technology in the early stages of their development is a big bonus for kids.

“With work places now being technology centred and the prospects within the technology market it is a pleasure to be able to help children in our community at this early stage.”

Principle Eoghan Roarty said “this generous donation is very welcome; we will be upgrading the technology in the coming year so the children can benefit most for their future development. We would like to thank Marty and Patricia and all the team at Mulroy Woods for their support.”

The donation was made from the proceeds of a very lively Take Your Pick at Mulroy Woods every Saturday Night. Master of ceremonies Hughie Walsh presides over this each Saturday night in our lounge.
