Job Vacancy: KeyedIn Solutions have an exciting role for an experienced Software Engineers at their Letterkenny base in the CoLab, LYIT.

Location: Letterkenny, County Donegal, Ireland

Basic Salary: €25 – €40k depending on experience

KeyedIn Solutions is a global SaaS (Software as a Service) organisation operating in Europe and the US. We develop cloud based software applications with over 50,000 users worldwide. KeyedIn is looking to recruit motivated and talented mid-level and junior software engineers to join the team based in the Colab building at the Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LYIT). Graduate software engineers will be considered for the junior position.

As a software engineer, you will be involved in full stack development using Microsoft technologies (C#, ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server, TypeScript), web technologies (JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap) and mobile technologies (Xamarin). You will work closely with Product Management taking ideas and turning them into successful features that are widely adopted by our customer base. Working in an agile environment you will estimate user stories, provide task breakdowns and use your coding skills to develop, test and release new features. You will be challenged daily to solve problems, expand your knowledge of the KeyedIn Projects and the technologies that can be used to continuously improve it. You will grow as we do and your technical skills and ownership responsibilities will gradually increase as you move toward the next level.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Participate in daily standups
  • Take part in planning meetings with your team to breakdown user stories into tasks
  • Develop new features using Visual Studio 2017
  • Use VSTS to report progress on your assigned work items
  • Demonstrate the features you have developed back to Product Management to show that your solutions work as-intended
  • Troubleshoot problems and debug the system to expand your knowledge and expertise within our product

Core Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience
  • C#
  • Firm understanding of OOP
  • Basic knowledge of SQL
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS

Nice to have:

  • ASP.NET MVC
  • Razor / JQuery/ TypeScript / Bootstrap
  • Web Services
  • Unit test frameworks (NUnit, xUnit, Moq or similar)
  • TFS
  • Experience in Agile software development practices
