Tony O’Carroll has been appointed as the new manager at Aileach FC.

The Derry native takes over from David McGeady at the Lakeside after leading Aileach to a Cup treble and a second-placed finish in the Inishowen League Premier Division.

O’Carroll recently left Bonagee United after one season in charge of the Ulster Senior League outfit. Bonagee finished sixth-out-of-seven in the USL in the 2017/18 campaign and O’Carroll left his post at the season’s end.

Aileach won the Ulster Junior Cup, Buncrana Credit Union Cup and the Charlie O’Donnell Cup, while they were pipped to the League title by Glengad United.
