Golfer Paul McGinley has pleaded with tourism groups to build on the legacy left behind by this week’s Irish Open in Ballyliffin.
McGinley is a regulator visitor to the county as his father Mick hails from Dunfanaghy.
The sportstar has now pleaded with the powers-that-be to shine a light into the corner of the Northwest.
He tweeted “Donegal and Ballyliffin were ‘Champions’ just like the very impressive @rooknox this week.
“It’s now up to @TourismIreland to build on the legacy created with more support and investment in a part of our country that really needs it.”
