Gardai in Donegal have issued a fine against a truck driver who was caught on the road with excessively worn tyres.

Officers with the Roads Policing Unit were conducting a Truck/HGV checkpoint last week when they detected the truck pictured above.

One tyre was worn bald, which leads to dangerous risks as it affects braking and road grip.

A fixed charge fine was issued against the driver.
