Travel plans of Ryanair passengers remain in limbo as the pilots’ strike looks set to go ahead this Thursday, 12th July.
Ryanair said they would begin contacting customers by text and email today to update them on plans if the strike goes ahead.
The airline is due to enter talks with members of the Irish Airline Pilots’ Association this morning.
Up to 100 Irish pilots have declared strike action over management’s approach to transferring pilots between bases and other matters. The 24-hour strike is set to begin from 1am on Thursday, and will affect 7% of Ryanair’s flight schedule.
If today’s talks to not reach an agreeable outcome, passengers will be notified of Ryanair’s contingency plan and of any potential disruption to flights.
